Sonnet I

Struggling to find the way in this place,
The wintry dark oppresses this soul.
Yet this is where you will be left to face
Yourself, until you are once again whole.
It suffocates you, nothing can you see;
The course of action was never so obscure:
What to do, who to turn to, how to be;
Anything to bring some light as a cure!
But it is this place you will rest for now
To find yourself, your purpose, your great worth.
The cold will lift and from there you’ll emerge,
Where freedom reigns, just like a second birth.
Do not fear my friend, you are not alone,
We will walk with you until you come home.
